We W.I.L.L. Remembers 2019. With 2019 in the rear view mirror, we wanted to take the time to reflect on how much we have grown.
We W.I.L.L. Remembers 2019
Since the start of the year is always a good time to reflect; 2019 has been a great year for We W.I.L.L. As we continue to grow and change the lives of youth in our neighborhoods; we are grateful for the strides we are making.
In 2019, we received a grant from the Citizens Committee of N.Y.C. and appreciate the partnership we have established with this organization. Moreover, we have attended a series of free workshops being offered to help our organization.
In the Spring of 2019, Henry prepared and coached our travel basketball team called “The Regulators”. Meanwhile, the Children were able to have the experience of travelling outside of N.Y.C. and being exposed to other areas in the tri-state. Be sure to visit our We W.I.L.L. Regulators Gallery to check out some of our photos.
Shortly after this season, we prepared for our summer events.
In the Fall, we had a great time at the F&J Pine Restaurant for our Masquerade Fundraiser. Be sure to check out our Fundraiser Success 2019 post to read about the event.
Meanwhile, our year ended on a high note with our Winter workout program. To read more, be sure to visit out Holiday Workout Summary post.
We W.I.L.L. Looks Forward to 2020
With the year underway, we are raising funds for our ten year anniversary for the Together As One Camp. Of course, we appreciate all the individuals and companies who donated time, money and items to make our Masquerade fundraiser a success.
Also, this year we have started an after school program which will run throughout the Winter months and will support youth ages 9 – 15 to become better players in the game of basketball; and be offered mentoring opportunities by coach and program coordinator, Henry Perez.
In summary, We W.I.L.L. is so appreciative of all our supporters. Be sure to read our We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports Thanks You post.
In conclusion, we look forward to our continued success and working on building our programs.
