We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports is excited to provide a basketball tournament for the second year in a row. At the same time, we will be a partner for this event with Goddard Riverside Community Center. In view of our partnership, we’re enthusiastic about this relationship as it helps benefit families.
Basketball Tournament Information
In the first place, over 200 children will participate in this event free of charge. For Children, age 7-16 are eligible within the community to partake in the tournament.
In addition, the basketball tournament will take place every Sunday in the month of July. Of course, we will be placing an emphasis on positive peer relationships, teamwork and sportsmanship. When these kids participate in events of this nature, it reduces the time they would spend on the street or in an unsupervised home environment.
Basketball Registration
For this tournament, registration is on-line. We have on-line registration at: www.wewillthrusports.com In addition, the children need to live in a close proximity to the park and Goddard Riverside.
Furthermore, the Goddard Riverside event is free for children because the community center receives a grant. Children of all skill levels can participate.
Basketball Tournament July Excitement
The first tournament will begin on Sunday, July 2nd and will go every Sunday for the entire month. Indeed, this is a good way for children to show their skills, have fun and build relationships.
When the kids get together for the basketball tournament, it brings a nice feeling of accomplishment. Also, the children gain more awareness and support of the community.
All children participating in the tournament will receive a T-shirt provided by We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports. A plaque will be given to all Volunteers. Of course, a trophy will be awarded for any child on a first or second place team.
