We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports and Goddard Riverside are collaborating yet again to bring exciting and much needed summer programming, Unite & Compete Tournament, to NYC neighborhoods. We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports is hosting this community basketball tournament. After recent incidences amongst young people, We W.I.L.L. wanted to address the need for unity amongst competitors. We are all one at the end of the day. We are stronger together than against each other. This year’s theme aligns with why we created this tournament over 7 years ago. Click here to see more on our past tournaments. This tournament is creating a space for young people to come and showcase their talent, remain safe, and be taught life lessons all in the process.
Unite & Compete Tournament – District Attorney
This past weekend, the District Attorney, Mr. Alvin Bragg, joined us and saw many of our youngsters competing in our tournament held at Sol Bloom Park. The tournament is located at 7 West, 92nd street NY,, NY 10025. We are thankful for his time in witnessing the efforts of bringing the community together and strengthening our youth.
Pushing Through Adversities
We have one month left before the culminations of our tournament and hope to bring you an update on our team champions and runner up. So far, we have withstood summer rains and extreme heat. None the less, participants have pushed through adversities and showed just how resilient they can be when wanting to compete and complete what they started.
