Unite and Compete Concluded

This past weekend, the community basketball tournament, Unite and Compete concluded; thus, leaving us with our hardworking and impressive runners-up and first-place winners. The Regulators were our hardworking, strong, and competitive runners-up. They put in great effort despite the other team coming out on top. In addition, there were life skills learned when the coach reviewed why the loss ultimately occurred. Mental strength, frustration tolerance, and confidence are all a part of winning the game when being put under such pressure.

Unite & Compete Concluded – Congratulation to Our Champions!

Team Buckets for the 16 and under division were our champions and Chosen Few, 17 and under division, were the champions of the Unite and Compete tournament. With the final score being so close, it was uncertain who was actually going to take the chip. All teams played their hearts out and worked hard on the court.

Bundle Of Thanks To The Referees

We, at We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports, offer our sincerest gratitude and a bundle of thanks to all the referees who worked with us this summer. They did not just enforce discipline but also added understanding and teachable moments to the game. Hence, our youth were fortunate to be competing in an environment that fostered their mental and physical growth and well-being.

Thank you, Goddard Riverside, for another great summer tournament. Without this cooperation, we would not have been able to bring our community together and show our youth that we care! So, thank you so much. We look forward to more of these collaborations in the future.

Final Word

Our annual summer tournament has concluded. Thus, we have successfully kept 80 young people off the streets during prime crime times and have exposed them to adopting healthy habits. Furthermore, we are now in preparation for our Together As One camp running 4 days from Aug 24th – 27th, 2023. So, stay tuned for more updates, and be sure to visit our program page to sign up ASAP!
