Together as One Basketball Camp was started by Joe Cifone and Henry Perez. In the first place, the main purpose of this camp is to keep kids off the street and in a safe environment.
Together as One Basketball Camp
Although this is a basketball camp, it serves many purposes. Not only can kids come to camp for basketball, but also to participate no matter what skill level they are.
So, this Summer we had kids come together to work hard, learn skills and develop friendships. As a result of the kids participating in the camp, they were able to make strides in their development and skills.
Together as One Basketball Camp Coaches
At the same time, We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports would like to thank the coaches who went above and beyond in bringing this camp to another level.
First, Coach Fred was able to make adjustments when the weather wasn’t cooperative. Coach Fred was able to relocate the camp from the park to an indoor gym at Harlem Children’s Zone in Harlem, New York.
Second, Coach Tiff was inspirational in making a difference in many of the girls’ lives. And of course, we cannot forget Coach Mugz. Finally, Coach Mugz brings energy and is always there to help each kid. As you can see from the photo below, Coach Mugz always brings a laugh to everyone as you can see with him lying down.
Furthermore, we couldn’t have done this camp without the dedication of our coaches and the hard work they put in to make this camp an overwhelming success.
Together as One Basketball Camp Awards
To sum up, boys and girls age 8- 17 came together to engage and participate in healthy activities. At the end of the week, awards were given to all participants. Also, there were awards given to kids who showed up early, worked extra hard and made strides in helping others.
Whether campers received an award or not, all campers received a We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports T-shirt as well as journals donated by Andrea Paladino. Ultimately, Andrea was the best camp mom and we cannot thank her enough for her generosity and time.
We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports appreciates everyone’s time and effort in making the camp a success.
As always, I welcome your comments.
