Hello Everyone!
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a tournament during the remainder of the NeON Sports project. That’s right! The NeoN Sports Tournament Starts this coming Tuesday, May 30th, 2023. This will be the beginning of a one-month tournament through our NeON Sports project. Participants aged 15 and under will be in a separate division from the young adults up to age 23. The tournament will wrap up when we meet our champions in the last week of June 2023. So, be sure to check back with us to see how it unfolds.
The NeOn Sports Tournament – It’s More Than Basketball
As always, We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports doesn’t just play the game. There is a deeper intent to help our young people develop the life skills they need to become successful. It is important for our young people to grow and stand among the people who contribute to their society. For participants from the older age range, the tournament will have a two-on-two structure. These individuals will not have the choice to pick who they want to be partnered with. The coaches will intentionally decide who gets to pair with whom. This will allow the participants to exercise teamwork, patience, tolerance in times of frustration, and respect. While these skills can be quite difficult to demonstrate, if they want to win, whether in the tournament or in life, conquering these skills is a must for them.
In Conclusion
Tournaments bring youth and adults together for fun and healthy competition. We W.I.L.L. is always orchestrating these specialized tournaments to help our youth grow in more ways than one. We hope to see the community come together. We are looking for teamwork in varying ways amongst all while skilled youth and young adults compete amongst each other.
