Sunday Funday Winter Coat Drive

We Will Thru Sports is excited to announce their first Sunday Funday Winter Coat Drive. Since it is our mission to help Children, Men and Women stay warm this Winter; we will have some lightly used Winter coats to keep you cozy.

Sunday Funday Winter Coat Drive

As you know, we started Sunday Funday recently; so we wanted to coordinate a day and time to give coats to help out any family in need.

To read more about our Sunday program, be sure to check out our Sunday Funday Basketball post. And, if your kids haven’t joined this as of yet; we would love to have your kids participate in our pilot basketball program.

Sunday Funday Winter Coat Drive Mission

In the meantime, it is our mission to help out the kids and families who participate in our program. Especially in light of the arctic cold weather, many children, adults and the homeless need a coat this Winter.

Also, a lot of our need is for children’s coats as they grow so quickly.

We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports is a non-profit, dedicated to helping children, parents and the homeless organizations. As well as this coat drive; we are committed to offering sports programs to at risk youth through unity and empowerment.

Sunday Funday Winter Coat Date and Location

Because the location of our Sunday Funday program is accessible from both the inner cities and Westchester; we wanted to be able to distribute at least half of these coats at the Santa Maria School, 1510 Zerega Avenue, Bronx, New York 10462.

Additionally, we will also be distributing half of the coats downtown at a Shelter located in West Harlem near 135th Street. The downtown location is important to us as that is where many of the homeless people stay.

In addition to coat donations, if you have a hat, gloves or a scarf – they are also greatly appreciated.

In the meantime, if you are interested in donating or badly in need of a coat, kindly contact us at: (845) 428-9987.

Of course, our coat drive is a way of introducing kids to the importance of philanthropy.

As always, I welcome your comments.
