Regulators Basketball Outdoor Practice sessions will start on Saturday this week. Yes, you read it right. We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports is excited to announce that the W.I.L.L. Regulators Travel Basketball Team is now able to move from a virtual setting to an outdoor one.
Although virtual activities are still a safer choice than outdoor activities, fully vaccinated people can safely participate in outdoor events. If we all follow the necessary health and safety SOPs, there’s no reason for us to not practice outdoors.
Additionally, we promised to begin face-to-face basketball workouts to prepare for tournaments this summer as soon as it became safe enough to do so. Hence, we are making good on that promise starting Saturday this week.
Regulators Basketball Outdoor Practice Sessions – What to expect!
We are looking forward to remaining safe while seeing each other face-to-face and preparing for traveling games. Please, visit our latest Regulator posts to follow our progress and see what we’ve been up to. Read on for more details on what to expect from our Regulators Basketball Outdoor Practice Sessions.
Physical Activities
The outdoor workouts will include strength and conditioning exercises, dribbling drills, ball handling, and much more. The dribbling drills and exercises will continue to get the participants’ heart rates up. Moreover, other drills will now be included as we’ll have the luxury of practicing in an outdoor space.
Stay Tuned for Upcoming Tournaments
We W.I.L.L. Regulators Travel Basketball team plans to enter a number of tournaments where team members will have the opportunity to travel and experience new surroundings. The eligible age range for team members is around 11 to 14 years.
Young people from the NYC Burroughs and Westchester County have been a part of this team since its inception. Therefore, we welcome all the youngsters in this age range to join us this spring and summer.
Program Goals & Practice Sessions
As mentioned in our previous blog, We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports is continuously striving to keep building strong minds and strong bodies despite the challenges imposed by Covid-19. And so, we are super excited for this next step in the program.
We hope you join us and follow us as we move one step closer to returning to our program goals. Exposing our youth to high-level competition at an affordable cost has been an integral part of our mission.
Preparing the game schedule in tri-state; thus, affording participants the opportunity to travel outside of their city and state is another goal we strive to accomplish.
Doing so goes a long way in grooming our youth, both mentally and physically. It also helps them understand and respect the differences between urban and suburban communities. Overall exposure can bring invaluable opportunities and achievements that can lead to the effective planning of their future.
