NFL players take a stance on social justice on opening day. With so much happening with Black Lives Matter; it is time for everyone to do their part.

NFL Players Take a Stance on Social Justice

Although players across the NFL seemed to unite in wanting to raise awareness on police brutality; they also want to bring the issue to the forefront. In fact, many of the players wore a shirt with an NFL approved slogan.

Whether players take a knee that prompts recognition; it is important that everyone come together.

When Colin Kaepernick first took a knee in regard to racial inequality and police violence; many people took an issue with this. Since Kaepernick’s departure in 2016 from the San Francisco 49ers; he has gone unsigned.

Of course, there is no reason for a player of his caliber to still be unsigned.

At the same time, We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports, want each person to understand what is happening and how their voice can make a difference. Recently, we had a mini-camp event, and Deborah Woods spoke to the kids about social justice and what they could do.

Meanwhile, it is important that people understand what is happening and do what they can to put an end to violence everywhere.

With everything going on in the world in regard to violence; something needs to change. Of course, this isn’t only about black lives matter; but about taking a stance in what you believe in.
