So today is Giving Tuesday. In the first place, this important holiday is always celebrated the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

Giving Tuesday

Since its inception in 2012, the importance of this day supports charity and philanthropy today and throughout the year. This day was created by Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact. Ironically, this center is in New York and is located on 92nd Street Y.

In the same fashion, this group’s focus is to bring people together through cause, donation, and to encourage giving. Not only is this day about creating change; but also to encourage donations of time, money and support.

Giving Back Today

So today, give your time, support and make a donation. Although you may not have the financial means, you can donate your time. For instance, consider walking a neighbor’s animal. Or, you can spend time visiting someone elderly or playing with kids today. Additionally, you can donate your time by volunteering in a soup kitchen, shelter or hospital.

Another way to give back is to donate anything you no longer need. For instance, if you have clothes, appliances or furniture, consider donating these to a charitable organization or homeless shelter.

We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports Mission

First and foremost, We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports is on a mission to provide a high quality sports program for youth, age 5 – 19. In addition, we hope to continue to offer programs to help benefit kids in reaching their potential.

Indeed, we’re on a mission. As we continue to offer new basketball programs, we hope to continue to bring more programs to life. Visit our We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports Regulators Basketball post to learn more about one of our new programs.

Also, we will have a Winter Work Out which will be a program taught over the holiday break. This will be a fun environment for all children from the Westchester area and New York City. Stay tuned for our post as we get ready to roll out this program.

In summary, we hope you will consider a donation to We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports as we continue to grow our program.
