So, BIG3 Season 2 is underway. And, today’s post will bring you up-to-date on the new season. For the second season, Ice Cube and Jeff Kwatinez wanted to improve on the struggles of their first year.
BIG3 Season 2 Improvements

Now, that BIG3 Season 2 has started, there has been a lot of improvements. First and foremost, there have been more big name NBA players joining the league. Because of last year’s tape delayed games, this year’s games will be live on FOX, FS1 and Facebook. With this in place, you will be able to see all the games in real time.
In addition to the games on television, they will also be broadcast in four different countries. Also, some of the games will be played in Air Canada Centre in Toronto. Another exciting change was Nancy Lieberman made history as she was named the first female coach for a men’s sports league.
Additionally, Ice Cube acquired a major sponsor in having Adidas on board. Moreover, Hall of Famer, Clyde Drexler has taken over as Commissioner of the league after serving the first season as the coach of Power last year.
BIG3 Season 2 Remaining Schedule
Since the games started in June, there are still four more weeks remaining.
- August 3rd is Week 7 is in Boston, Massachusetts at the TD Garden
- August 10th is Week 8 is in Atlanta, Georgia at the Infinite Energy Arena
- For Week 9, Playoffs are on August 17th from American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas
- August 24 is the Championship Game for Week 10 – Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center
In summary, this years league has loaded up with talent to compete against last years undefeated champion, Trilogy. As BIG3 grows, they are hoping to have an impact on the communities and grow the game with a younger audience.
