First and foremost, We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports was excited to participate in the AAU Boys August Basketball Competition. Since this was our second year in this tournament, we were able to meet a lot of the coaches and parents.

AAU Boys August Basketball Competition

In the first place, running a tournament requires a lot of time and effort. At the same time, we had over 200 participants in the boys tournament. Additionally, the tournament and teams were by age. There were four age groups. Hence, eleven and under, 13 and under, 15 and under and 17 and under.

Indeed, there was a lot of excitement for the AAU Boys August Basketball Tournament.

As a result of the AAU Boys August Basketball Competition, Nike recruiters asked the kids if they would like to be in a commercial. For this purpose, the parents had to give consent. Of course, this provided excitement for both the kids and parents.

Above all, we had many volunteers available. The Volunteers were a key component of the success of this tournament. In other words, the Volunteers took photos, monitored equipment, kept score, maintained order and sold water. We W.I.L.L. Thru Sports appreciates the effort of all of the Volunteers and the hard work throughout the event and we cannot thank you enough for your tireless effort.

Sportsmanship

Of course, one of our goals is to teach kids the importance of respect in their teammates, coaches and opponents. It is important that each kid comes away from a competitive sport promoting good sportsmanship. Whether you win or lose, it is important to not lose sight of the importance of this.

To sum up, the real winners from the tournament came from the kids who know how to behave whether they win or lose. And for the kids who know how to do this, they will walk away with a better appreciation of how to win or lose a game.

Conclusion

All of the coaches had good things to say about the referees. Also, the referees did a wonderful job in making sure the games went smoothly. With this in mind, we look forward to growing from this experience and getting ready for next Summers AAU Boys August Basketball Competition.

As always, I welcome your comments.
